Abandoned School
The equinox gales have arrived, even if they are a few days late :) Been gales blowing all day and mixed with lovely sunny sunny spells and some heavy showers.
A fairly lazy morning and too windy to get the washing out on the line, scared it may have blown off and into the sea :) I did manage a run to Lerwick and had lunch with mam at the Olive Tree cafe. After lunch I went to Sandwick with mam and she dropped me off so I could walk home with Sammy dog. The walk wasn't much pleasure when the showers started. I had to rush from bus shelter to bus shelter and finally made it near my auntie Alma's and she invited me in for a tea to warm up before setting home to Cunningsburgh. With the showery evening, think a quiet night in with mam and niece Elise coming over to visit.
The old abandoned school at Sandwick. This once was the secondary school for the south end of Shetland but a new school was built in the 1980s. Mam has an office in the new school and that's also where I spent my teenage school years at and mam went to school in this building. I often wonder why it's been left to rot and had anything done to it.
