Chirpy Twingo

Back down to earth today. After yesterday's blast in a £200,000-plus supercar, I spent today in the Cotswolds driving a little Renault Twingo, with a three-cylinder engine at the back and a mobile phone plugged into the dashboard as satnav. Not everything I drive as a motoring writer is posh, exotic, hyper-fast and extravagantly priced.

Driving is just a part of what we do on a test assessment. Photographing the car always takes a fair bit of time, and the colleague I was sharing the Twingo with today wanted a high vantage point for shooting part of a video he was doing. The moment he clambered up onto some roadside straw bales, I knew I had my blip!
