A praise of appraisals

Nathaniel holding his review ('report card'!) from nursery. Seems so grown up having parents evenings etc but it's so lovely to hear how he's getting on. As usual the nursery have lovely things to say about Nathaniel's nature as well as his development; but they also show they know him well describing what he likes and dislikes. Obviously books, gardens and wellies feature highly, and they politely describe his strong self awareness and ability to say no when he's not so keen!
Was a day of appraisals as I did some for the team at work. Goodness knows how as after nearly a week of disturbed nights plus no more than 1.5hrs at a time Bay decided to 'up his game' with a 2am-4am no sleep at all tactic. Coffee has been my close companion through a hectic day of appraisals, meetings, audits and presentations. Thank god I've got tomorrow off...I forsee a steep decline in my productivity coming.
