Home now
As far as I can tell it has been a warm sunny day. I didn't get much chance to see it from my Hospital bed.
The pacemaker operation appears to have gone well, according to the tests done today. However, there appeared to be evidence of haematoma which caused concern for the Junior Doctors, even suggesting that I may have to stay in for a couple days. The senior consultant, who knows me well, was called and she immediately said it would be fine and that I could go home.
So here I am, resting while reading your kind comments on blip. There is no doubt that I wouldn't have chosen to speak at a Men's Breakfast tomorrow or preached on Sunday but they were arranged before the operation was postponed until now. I am sure I will have the strength to fulfil these engagements, with lots of rest in between
Thank you again for your concern and interest.
