Lacock Abbey NT
There was a display of floral art in the cloisters of Lacock Abbey that had been presented by the National Association of Flower Arranging Societies, with the theme being The Passage of Time. This was the winning entry, by Maureen Faraway.
I did my usual tour of the grounds, keeping an eye out for the Abbess, the cat who resembles Smokey, but this time she didn't put in an appearance.
When driving in to the village of Lacock I had noticed a couple of horses by a gate into a large field and went back to investigate. They weren't by the gate any more so I went over the stile and discovered how extensive the field was. I found them eventually and they were very sociable. One was very friendly indeed and kept pushing the other out of the way, and followed me closely, making a retreat, or photography, rather difficult. The resemblance of my camera shoulder bag to a nosebag may once again have been the cause of the problem. Getting a decent shot of either horse was impossible due to its close attentions, but eventually both resumed grazing and I made my exit.

This folk-rock version of Bob Dylan's song was a single taken from the album Younger Than Yesterday, and has great guitar work from Roger McGuinn.
