Kookaburras

I noticed these two kookaburras a couple of weeks ago and have seen them occasionally since but never close enough for a shot.

But there they were this morning rushing from this post to a big palm tree and back again, I think they must have a nest in there! I pulled the camera out and went to take a shot and noticed the battery was going flat grrr but got a couple of shots before they disappeared into the palm tree and didnt come out again!

Worked until 5.30pm then rushed out to an exhibition opening featuring some friends of mine! It was a great show and I loved all the work. The gallery was in an old building that had been an asylum and some of the works were in the old cells, very moving!

Finally I am home and its late, just enough energy left in me to put this blip up and then I'll be staggering off to bed. :0)
