Late Arrival

This must be about the third consecutive year we have fouund ourslves in Lanzarote around this time of year for some welcome sunshine.

Arrived at just after 8pm which should have been sufficient time to pick up the bags, collect the hire car, drive to the Villa - ony about 15 minutes away, and venture out for a bite to eat and maybe a beer.

That reckoned without the queue at Gold Car where there were around 6 or 7 people ahead of me all taking a minimum of 10 minutes for the one member of staff to sort out. And most of this time was taken up trying to sell us additional insurance for all the terrible things that were almost certainly going to happen to the car which would cost us up to £3000!

Remind me to pick another car hire company next time. Ready for that beer now!
