The Crow and the Nut

Dreadful photograph from a quality point of view, but you are used to that if you've seen my blips!
The story though is that we, Jonty and Foxy and I, watched this Crow as he/she flew to the top of a lamp-post, gave the walnut a couple of taps and then dropped it onto the tarmac pathway. Obviously trying to crack the shell because it was never dropped on the grassy side of the lamp-post.
The Crow did this 3 times before flying off with the nut so we presumed the nut had been cracked :-)
