Ramillies Street, W1
Since we were on Oxford Street anyway, and Beck was flush with the purchase of a rather fetching new winter coat, it was no great difficulty to assure her that the coffee at the Photographers Gallery would be good. It was, and there was a very interesting exhibition of early Russian colour photograph on too - particularly the stuff on the upper floor from the 50's and 60's. Afterwards, we walked over to the South Bank for lunch and people-watching before going back to St. Pancras for an early-afternoon train home. All in all, a really good couple of days away.
