Emergency Mission
I was struggling for a blip today after meeting the friend who has has bad news about her health and had resorted to wandering round the garden looking for something I hadn't photographed a hundred times before. You'll know the feeling:-)
My reverie was disturbed firstly by an ambulance crossing the park behind our garden and then a few minutes later by this Air Ambulance helicopter landing right opposite our house. Every home should have a helicopter pad in the back garden!
By a bit of judicious neighbourly concern (i.e. being nosy), we discovered that a lady had fallen and broken either her leg or ankle while picking sloes in the gully to the side of our house. She was in a great deal of pain judging by the cries we heard, but fortunately she was not alone and family had been able to dial 999 for help. I'm pretty sure they didn't expect an ambulance and a helicopter!
The medics dealt with the injured lady and loaded her into the helicopter before taking off in the direction of the nearest hospital and the ambulance left empty. So that was my blip sorted and I do hope she is okay:-)
