Bradgate Park

Bradgate Park was the home of the Grey Family and the ill-fated Lady Jane who was queen for nine days. It is now the home of many deer, Red, Fallow and Roe. In 1928 a certain Charles Bennion purchased the ruins and parkland from the ancestors of the Greys. He then bequeathed the park to the people of Leicester and Leicestershire for their appreciation of the peace and calm of the countryside. I am pleased to say that the bequest is still much appreciated.
