Souvenir.

I am not completely averse to a bit of tourist tat and I have a fine collection of fridge magnets which chart my travels. I bought this coaster in Dublin because it reminds me of a friend who studied English at university and she was given a reading list one summer which included Ulysses by James Joyce. We would be given regular progress reports about how many pages she had read each day, but in the end she abandoned the task and never finished it. It is still a vivid memory for her and I have never been tempted to try it myself. I think this is as near to reading a James Joyce novel as I am going to get.
