My acknowledgements to Velofor for blatantly stealing his joke but I thought it was clever and it made me laugh, so I hope he doesn't mind ;-))

Whilst walking in the village a couple of weeks ago I saw a poster for a missing cat called Cookie, so I kept my eyes peeled for him. About ten days ago a cat started coming in through our cat flap (that fitted his description) and we only realised he was there because he has a little bell on his collar and it sounds like Morris Men dancing in the kitchen when he comes in to eat Ed's leftover food. He never stays very long and is extremely timid which means all attempts to befriend and catch him have failed so we have arranged a set up with his owner where I send her a text that says 'He's here now' when I hear his bell and she comes running round to try to call him. We finally managed to coordinate everyone this morning and she arrived before he left but to my surprise he didn't run to her as I expected but because we were trying to get him in a corner he took fright and managed to get over the fence and disappeared, his owner was very upset and I felt terrible for her. I only hope he comes back after his ordeal because at least he was getting something to eat from our house and I would like another chance at reuniting him with his family, poor Cookie :-(
