Japanese Peace

Gardens in Cowra.

What a wonderful day we've had today. We have both been very keen to stop for a couple of days in Cowra at some stage in our lives so that we could visit the Japanese Peace Gardens.

The gardens were absolutely magnificent and at their very best as the Cherry Festival is on in Cowra on Saturday. We decided that for us it would be better to go before the hundreds of visitors. We were so glad we did. A huge bonus was bumping into fellow Blackheath Blipper Gemax Photographics and his better half L. They were on their trip home after an amazing holiday in South Australia. Well as you do we all sat down and had lunch together. It was such a lovely surprise meet up and we hadn't even seen a cherry blossom at this stage of proceedings.

I wish I could transport you all to this incredible garden. We so enjoyed just taking our time wandering along the pathways that meander through the many and varied vistas.
