A scene from The Illusionist

One of my favorite films about Edinburgh is a cartoon feature called The Illusionist which tells the story of a magician who moves to the city to ply his trade and the relationship between him and a French girl he meets on one of the islands of Scotland.

The two of them stay in a guest house close to Broughton Street and the animation is so good that you can easily make out the actual locations. The light was so good when taking this shot it gave an air of sepia about it.
