healthy veins

This is the leaf from a kohlrabi plant,which looks like it has very healthy veins throughout the leaf.I have never grown kohlrabi before so was very pleased to produce some this year. They are a brassica and form a bulb just above the ground which can be eaten raw or cooked.My photos of the bulb were not so good so you have to look at the leaf.They taste like a stalk of broccoli. Mrs G is slicing it thinly to be added to tonight's cole slaw.
