Franz Josef Glacier

We drove to Franz Josef today for our glacier trip but it was cancelled because of the weather so we booked into a campsite, did our laundry, then took advantage of the free hot pools in the town for a couple of hours which was lovely.

As we emerged from the hot pools, the rain finally stopped and this was the view of the mountain ... palm trees and snow topped mountains. Fingers crossed for the glacier trip tomorrow!

Went to the pub to watch the some rugby, eat some food and drink some beer ... didn't end up as such a bad day after all.
