Merstone Station.

Merstone station was opened in 1857 and has now been long disused, closing in 1956 and is slowly being reclaimed by nature, but has now been given a new purposes in life and is the start of a nature walk and cycle way.
The sign on the platform is half wood,half concrete with a set of concrete luggage, very simple but just stand out and make you think about the many people in days gone by that must have stood on that platform, luggage in hand waiting for the steam train to come.
