Visiting Anselm

Anselm Keiffer is the new exhibition at the Royal Academy. He is a German artist who paints massif canvasses using a mad range of materials. There are some giant pieces painted on lead with diamonds inset into the thick oils. Others have sunflower seeds and zinc coated sunflowers mixed in to burnt wood with burnt books sticking out.

I have never seen art like it. I think it's fab. But the colours are dark and it doesn't fill you with joy.

Nevertheless I will go back again and it's going to be a blockbuster. Hold on to your hats!

This lady is on her way in. I hope she liked it.
