People in Paris
Today was a day as pleasant as could be.
Lovely Lunch with my husband in a place that served Cidre and Galettes, the dark brown thin pancakes from Brittany with ham or bacon, mushrooms and cheese. Delicious. Then we split and I went with camera to the Champs de Mars, the Eiffeltower and the Palais de Chambord. I expected crowds here too, but it wasn't as bad as I had thought. So as I think that all of you have seen the Eiffeltower before, I put together some nice faces here: one Asian young man who had styled himself quite successfully, shaving some hair of, braiding the rest, which is a thing you can't see, but he looked so happy with himself, while standing in the bus, I just had to take his picture. The next shows Nicole from Canada, a lovely young woman traveling alone, in the background there are the fountains that are in front of the Palais de Chambord and you may see vaguely the feet of the Eiffeltower. Underneath the Eiffeltower two young African people were attracting a large crowd with their not unimpressive breakdance skills.
Then you see three little Japanese ladies who were enjoying a carefully prepared pique-nique (french) with champagne (and IPhones). they had taken off their shoes to not step on the blanket and were raising their glasses and the cameras to the Eiffeltower. The next picture shows another Asian lady who amused herself and the crowd and herself by feeding the birds. The last picture shows some ladies who enjoyed the breakdance show.
Inspite of overcast weather, I loved to walk around.
Now we have to doll up again, we are out to the ballet performance in the old opera building. Am very much looking forward to that :-)
