They're asleep

Finally.

They all were grumpy, overtired boys tonight. They all fought sleep. I love them so much but they were not easy children tonight.

Kanye was the last to settle fully at 10pm which is really late for him. Marley drifted off around 9 and harper 8pm.

I tried to not be frustrated with them. I know it's not their fault but I started to feel antsy as once their asleep at night usually it's my time to shower and have a break. The way they were going i felt maybe it wasn't going to happen.

At one point after seeing to them Andre said ' is no one going to sleep tonight?'

So andre sat next to Kanye while i showered then I lay in bed until Kanye fell asleep, Andre then settled mar while I continued to lay in the dark listening to the clocks in different rooms tick which was quite relaxing.

Marley, when overtired gets really grumpy to the point he doesn't even know what he's talking about anymore. He is angry with the whole world and becomes really contrary for example i might ask him if he wants a drink ' no i don't want a drink' ok then ' i do want a drink' ok I'll get one ' no i won't drink it I don't want one'.

Last night after a long day out Marley woke up crying -he'd had a bad dream and was hard to settle again, this morning going to school it was clear he was exhausted after rambling angrily the whole way then breaking into sobs once we got there.

He had a great day though and even got a principals award for writing!

Kanyes still really chesty but today he's getting a lot more up which is a great sign, though he's not done much today he was exhausted too- crying at dinner time.

I'm really looking forward to the holidays i think they really need some down time.
