Tree Fungus

Well it's now officially autumn in the northern hemisphere. We have shorter days, damp misty mornings and wetter weather to look forward too. The recent storms have meant that a profusion of fungi has started to appear in the fields and gardens and along the verges. I spotted this rather fine tree fungus when I was out earlier this morning.
