AND STILL THEY BLOOM!
I had seen a beautiful rose in the garden earlier in the week and thought I might blip it but today it was pouring with rain - and not just light drizzle, but heavy rain - I took a couple of shots of the rose “in situ” but then decided that it might be better to cut it and take a few shots indoors.
Here is “Perpetually Yours” taken from a rose bush I bought a couple of years ago and which has now got quite established in the garden. The blooms are beautiful, the fragrance is wonderful and it has made a great blip for a rainy day. The bonus is that I can now enjoy it when I stand at my kitchen sink!
“Roses and thorns
are parts of the same plant.
Somehow though,
some people are concerned
mainly about the roses.
The rose is not on the plant
for more than a week,
but the thorns are there forever.
Roses are teaching
that the beauty of life will bloom,
once you have taught yourself
the lessons given
by living with the thorns.”
