Preparing The Ground

The tractors have been roaring night and day, ploughing the paddocks; getting them ready for the Spring planting of Maize.
I love the changing scenery; especially at this time of the year when the baby maize plants go in the ground.
This is the view from our kitchen/ dining room looking west.
If the weather is good we will soon see distinct lines of green travelling up the field and in no time at all the maize will be as high as the hedge that divides this paddock from the road.
