241 [Old Leanach]
I went out for a walk this afternoon at the Culloden Battlefield near Inverness. Culloden was the site of the demise of Bonnie Prince Charlie's 1745 uprising, and the last battle to be fought on British soil. Today, the Battlefield is under the care of the National Trust for Scotland, and home to the new visitor centre, built in 2007.
The visitor centre is well worth a look and features a 360-degree film of the battle, pitching you right in the middle of the conflict; and a GPS audio guide as you walk round the battlefield.
This is the Old Leanach Cottage on the Battlefield, and is said to date from the time of the Battle.
