Grainger market midweek tranquility
Busy day today! We went to Newcastle University to register for our postgraduate courses today which was exciting. Campus was full of groups of freshers hanging around in groups, identifiable due to bright yellow hoodies with "fresher" across the back. We went inside the student union for the first time and invested in some university stationary. It seems a lifetime ago since we both started university together last time, even though it was only 12 years ago.
It was rainy so we headed into town and visited the Grainger market. I love it in there! We got some cheese from the fantastic cheese shop then had a delicious cupcake from Pet lamb patisserie. I rarely get chance to go on a weekday as I am at work, it was so quite and relaxed compared to when I usually visit on a Saturday. I recently went on a guided historic tour of the market, so took a photo to blip of the Grainger "arcade" section of the Grainger market. On the day of opening there was a huge feast spanning the length of this arcade. Such an interesting place.
This evening was my first week back at German evening classes at college, I seemed to have forgotten quite a bit over the summer vacation!
Afterwards, we met some friends for a drink in Gosforth- to conclude a packed day! :)
