Praying Mantis

My neighbor Betty knows how much I love Praying Mantis. This afternoon, she found one in her yard, put it in a cardboard cracker box, and brought him over for me to blip.

I put him on a rock in my flower garden, angled the rock so that the sun was behind him and lined up with an oak tree so that I could get some back lighting without getting too much lens flare.

I took quite a few pictures here and then moved him around the yard and got pictures from various angles. When I was done, I put in him in a big cluster of bushes that is full of spiders and other little bugs. Hopefully he is happy there and will forgive my neighbor for kidnapping him and me for taking so many pictures.
