The Banker
I had today off work to catch up with my 2 American friends I met on holiday last year and an action packed day was had by all. Both are around a year younger than my parents but they are like a generation apart in mobility and health :)
The morning started with me meeting them at their hotel in Kensington High Street, we then took the number 9 bus to Trafalgar Square where I showed them the 2country" view of Buckingham Palace where it looks like its a country palace and not in the city. We then watched the changing of the guard at Horseguards parade. Next we jumped on a Hop on Hop off bus taking us to the Tower of London to see the poppies and OMG there are so many more than when I last visited. Lunch was fish & chips (just chips for veggie me) and a boat ride back to Westminster Pier. Then it was over to Leicester Square where we got tickets for Phantom of the Opera.
It was interesting to see the bank of the river at low tide from a boat, hence me choosing this pic as it shows a different perspective.
