The accidental finding

Mrs Stone's headstone

I sometimes go home by bus, and drop through the cemetery, past the allotments, to my house. The older part of Stroud hill cemetery, which I have blipped many times before, is Victorian and full of marvellous Gothic tombs and headstones. It's a nature reserve, too. which means that there are lots of handy little holes and bumps in the ground. I didn't fall down any today.

This is the tomb of Anne Marie, wife of Alfred Stone, of the Slad Road, Stroud, who died on 1st March, 1890. It's not and exceptionally grand stone compared to some in the cemetery.

The rest of the day was normal. I am going to be busy, a little busier than usual, for the other working days this week.
