The joys of having work done in an old house!

Having made good progress yesterday today has been somewhat mixed. The old wallpaper had been repeatedly painted with waterproof paint and resisted all the best efforts of the steamer and scratching and scraping tools. Finally came off after much graft only to find that the wall is so bowed that it will require batons and new plasterboard to make is flat enough to tile. Also the floorboards are rotten and the drainage plumbing is completely bonkers so will need to be re-done. I am sure twill be lovely when it is finished.
