What's in a Room Number

Another day of travelling. This time from Helmsley to Newcastle Gateshead. This image is of Roseberry Topping, an iconic landmark of the Yorkshire Moors. We ate our lunch in a pleasant pub at the bottom of it and talked about climbing up it (just talking about it, not seriously thinking of actually doing it).

We've swapped our walking boots for our city shoes. Tomorrow we plan to visit the shops, the Baltic Art Gallery and the Sage Theatre. On Thursday we have train tickets to Durham to look at the city's architecture.

The next three days were organised by me as a surprise birthday treat for Igor way back in June, the Yorkshire days were added on by him later. I never organise trips. That's always done by my lovely husband who plans everything with precision. So far we've been put in room 101 and we have dodgy internet access!!
