Red red rose
Warm, sunny day.
I have to admit that today, 5 minutes in the garden was all I could cope with. I know this too will pass - it would be nice if it were in the next 5 minutes!
And now, for your delectation and delight - a red rose which is still blossoming in the warmth. Naturally, it reminds me of a famous poem by, let me see - ah, Rabbie Burns. I am sure it will cheer you up as it has done me.
My love is like a red, red rose
That’s newly sprung in June :
My love is like the melody
That’s sweetly played in tune.
As fair art thou, my bonnie lass,
So deep in love am I :
And I will love thee still, my dear,
Till a’ the seas gang dry.
Till a’ the seas gang dry, my dear,
And the rocks melt wi’ the sun :
And I will love thee still, my dear,
While the sands o’ life shall run.
And fare thee weel, my only love,
And fare thee weel a while !
And I will come again, my love,
Thou’ it were ten thousand mile.
Thank you again for all your kind comments at this time - I do appreciate them very much.
