Seeds of an Everlasting Sweet Pea.......
.......were planted to help clothe an archway about 8 years ago - the archway blew down in a gale. The site was dug up for work on a drain then again when a new wooden arch was erected - so, I thought, there goes the one and only sweet pea plant!
Very unexpectedly, this year, it popped up again - talk about it being everlasting!
This morning I noticed it had produced these seed pods - and here they are! The plant is growing in hardcore with no actual soil so it must be pretty tough to have survived.
A nice day today - quite a lot of sunshine though a lot of cloud too - Temperature at 65 Deg.F - pleasant enough to have morning coffee outside!
I have just been presented with some cooking apples and cooking pears by a neighbour so poached pears sweetened with honey is on the cards for tea - yum yum!
Hope you're having a good day.
