Crisis -what crisis?

I think this may constitute a real glasses crisis.

Or does it?

Sooner or later I'm going to have to concede defeat and buy a new pair. Not one of them will reliably stay on my nose - and the knicker-elastic ones are (practically) useless.

NB two years back I blipped the ones mended with knicker elastic (the ones my kids called 'mums embarrassing glasses') with the maxim "Wicked waste makes woeful want". So they've had another two full years of life.

But I haven't given up on them yet. After all, wicked waste does make woeful want.

I'm wondering if I could possibly fix them into some kind of Venetian mask.

Or something
