slow

the inevitable head cold has invaded the house. Em came home from nursery on Thursday with the sniffles and over the course of the weekend we've all developed it in some form.
Em and I took a walk in the late afternoon to clear our heads. We found this not-so-little fella (4 inches would be my guess) making his slow, steady and slimy way across the road. It seemed like a the perfect representation of our day. Slugs are a bit of a novelty to us, at the moment, as they don't appear to exist in Connecticut. They are however, present in profusion in Cumbria.
