RAYFA Night with Ya-ya & Bumpa
My folks came down yesterday so they would be able to see all of the kids play in their games. As an extra bonus, they also got to join us for RAYFA Night. Roseville High School devotes one football game a season to Breast Cancer Awareness. During that game, they also admit all of the kids in Youth Football for free (if they wear their jersey.)
During half-time, the youth levels are announced and they players' groups run the field. (I was pleasantly surprised to see both my guys at the front of the pack. I have no idea where they get their speed.) Then the kids make a tunnel for the high school players to run through. Unfortunately this year, there was lightening at half-time. After the third delay of game, all the kids left the field. When we were about 10 yards from our car, we heard cheering and turned around to see the players taking the field. There was no disappointment though. The boys were tired and ready to hit the hay.
