Ardeche mas

I love the fact that the Ardeche is full of buildings like this so tucked away that there seems to be an endless supply of them. This one has clearly just been restored, at least externally, and to look at the roof is not now owned by some local peasant-smallholder. The cost of restoring a lauze roof is ridiculous and this one has been beautifully done. The grass in front of the house brought a golf course to mind - definitely not the norm.
