Coventry SkyRide

Great workout today joining the Coventry SkyRide. I went to the event with my buddies Oliver, Yuanwei, Wilson and Felix. We were allowed to cycle around the Ring Road as the organizers closed one side of the road. It was a great turnout as well, I have read that around 8000 cyclists registered for the event. We had 2 rounds of cycling along the ring road and it was so much fun. It was a once in a lifetime chance to do that since cyclists are not allowed to cycle on the Ring Road. It was also the Ring Road's 40th anniversary last week and the cycling event was timely to celebrate the road's birthday :)

The event was not without casualties, i saw a man who stopped at the side of the road being helped by friends as he seemed to have fallen from his bike. There was also another man who got blood running down from his head. There was also blood on the road just beside where his bike was. But no worries, he was being treated by medical professionals when I saw him.
