Dragonfly

This is a Common Darter Dragonfly.
I nipped down to Pitfour lake today as I had seen some dragonflies there on Saturday but didn't manage to get a photo of one.
I think I saw three there today and they are well named. As soon as I had one in my viewfinder, it darted off. I didn't swear - much!!!
This one is hovering over the water.
I happened to meet CBLinks and his wife there so we stopped to have a fine chat.
