Messing about in boats

The occupants of the boat at the back seem to be having an easy time of it as they appear to be being towed by the hardworking oarsman in the front boat.

We were on our way back from a walk into town, mainly for the walk but also for the coffee! Not inspired by much today this was the best I could muster and even this is over exposed.

It was a good day nevertheless as we had a big dinner party in the evening with friends as a belated 60th birthday celebration. There were 10 of us around the table, cheek by jowl but very comfortable in the company. Unfortunately one couple were not able to join us else we would have had a full set.

Kept the catering very simple, baked potatoes and veg with a sort of meat sauce that I usually make for shepherd's pie. We had cheesecake and fresh fruit salad for afters.
