Wild day

The weather was a bit crazy last night and today. It kept me awake for a lot of the night, harper did too deciding at 3 am to wake up, be cutey cute and give me things as I sat in the lounge with him until he got tired and climbed up for cuddles. Finally got back to bed at 4 only to still be kept awake by the wind

I snapped this of harper today looking out the window at the rain and everything lying on the concrete that got blown about during the night.


Our gate broke in the wind and my bucket wound up at the neighbors. Of course i forgot to get my washing in last night but luckily I had pegged it so most of it was wound around the line.

Kanye is sick. He started coughing through the night and was really stuffed up when he woke which explains the seizures. When I texted his teacher she said that there were 4 away with chest infections so I guess it's making the rounds. He's only had a few smaller seizures so at least he's getting a break from that.

The weather was so crazy this morning andre taxied to work instead of biking. I said if he biked I'd probably beat him to the gate walking.

I kept mar home. It was too wild and cold to walk him plus with not having mum here until later i would have had to cart Kanye in his chair and harper on my back to get him to school.

Finally did my grocery shopping online and had it delivered. Love that service such a great idea.

When the boys are stuffy like Kanye is, I turn the shower on hot so it steams up, add olbas oil to the corners of the shower then turn the water temp down before they get in. When they hop in its like having vices steam inhalation and opens up their sinuses, it makes their noses run. I did this for Kanye tonight then put him to bed with Vicks on his chest and soles of his feet as I've heard that helps coughs.
