Secret Pool

We set off for another of my short photography walks in The Peak District this morning. It was a bit too short so we added our own extension to make it up to around 5 miles. That doesn't sound very far but when I'm stopping all the time to take photos it takes longer than it should.

We started in Youlgreave and headed towards the stream at the bottom of the village and then towards Lathkill Dale. I was hoping to have the opportunity to photograph the waterfalls in this dale but unusually it was really dry. I'll have to return later in the year once we 've had some rain. That sounds a bit weird hoping for rain!!

This is a private pool on the River Lathkill that was part of a detour on the walk.
