Old Colonial Residence

This old colonial mansion is the residence of the French Ambassador in Thailand. It was built in the 19th century but entirely renovated in the year 2,000.
On 21st September, it is the European Heritage Day. So the French Embassy had an open doors. I took advantage of the occasion to go and visit this wonderful mansion on the banks of the Chao Phraya River.
In the garden, the hippopotami are sculptures of French artists in Bangkok.
