Continuous Groove

One of the things about mp3 is that you get a 1/20th gap between files (tracks) most noticeable on a mix which has track markings (numbers) and live albums.

So as one track should glide seamlessly into another there is a glitch. To me it's like getting slapped on the ear with a hammer.

Some players developed a method of overcoming this - I suspect by reading and playing after a delay allowing continuous sound.

However, if like me nothing you have has that rare option you can rip the whole album as one track from start to finish using free software such as cdEx.
