Lindley Reservoir
When we set off to the orienteering event this morning we realised we hadn't competed since July at the Swiss 6 Days, so I was prepared to be a bit rusty and slow. The terrain information for Lindley Moor could have been contested under the Trades Description Act as we were told that windblown would not greatly impede progress, hah! It was an hour of clambering over fallen branches and balancing on others, sloshing through foul smelling mud and crossing a felled area which resembled no man's land! At times it was difficult to see what was under the feet which is probably why Tony came back with a couple of nasty grazes.
Jogging down a track I came across a path of heather covered in cobwebs sparkling with water droplets but it was some way from the finish and I didn't fancy retracing my steps to blip them, so it will have to be this blip of the Reservoir we crossed on the way home.
