Autumn

We've walked from the cottage today, up and over the ridge and on to the (NYMNP) Moors Centre and the along to Ainthorpe and back across the fields to Pear Tree House. If I'd have remembered the map we could have used a footpath shortcut across the fields, but then I wouldn't have spotted this group of fungi growing at the side of the road. I'm not sure what species they are and they are a bit chewed and scew-whiff but I thought they were worth a photo. It's been a grey day and windy with very occasional glimpses of sun, but on the whole the rain stayed away.
