The road to the Isles...

If you headed through this Glen and kept going you would end up on the West coast .. This was a much used shortcut for the drovers ( people who drive cattle) taking livestock to market in the old days , Rob Roy was a drover, among other things .. I climbed up to get a view through the hills and you can see how the Sun has affected the colours, on the left the Sun has no effect, while on the opposite side the frost has melted allowing the colours to show through..... I often look at these kind of rocks and wonder how many thousands of years they`ve been sitting there, it certainly puts us into prospective.
