The lily and the seed

Well I was a little worse for wear this morning after the inaugural celebrations around the fire last night. The sky was beautifully clear and we watched many shooting stars and I managed to stay up much later than is good for me.

The effect of these celebrations meant that I was a little hungover flat today and even although it was a beautiful day I did not go much further than the garden.

The light was catching the lily and it wasn't until after I took the photos that I noticed this little seed floating past. I think it is a seed from some rose bay willow herb which is shedding seeds everywhere just now.
