Ray of sunshine

Well I certainly wasn't that yesterday. I plunged the depths, again. I didn't mean to. I planned to have a great time with family but it didn't happen. Being stuck on my own at a table full of people from 'the other side' in a 'tent' that was dark, hot and oppressive didn't help but I can't blame them for that. This was all my own doing, although a little more thought about the table arrangements may have helped. #2 son did a great rescue act but then he went off to Reverie and I was on my own again so at the second attempt I went home. I felt a bit like Cinderella getting in a large taxi alone at 11.35. I really wanted to have a good time. I didn't. Idiot.

Today started off down but got better. I finished the packing. A bear was the last thing to go in. I finished the set up of mum's very belated birthday present, a tablet.

The family decided not to come, no wonder. #3 son and #1 gf left, she's off home to Oldham. #2 son went to Porty to see the beach volleyball and mum and dad came. Mum lives the tablet. Will give her a new outlet on the world. We sat in the garden till after. 4. Doesn't feel like the end of September, the Aberdeen holiday weekend, Christmas cake making weekend.

This sunflower is tiny. It came from bird food and it can be made to look huge.

Packed, checked in, Ekspres ticket bought. This time tomorrow I'll be between Doha and KL.
