A new frond on the way.

This fern sold to me as Dicksonia lanata rushes to expand this new frond to catch the last of this years sun.

I purchased it four years ago and after the second year it died in the early autumn. Not wanting to discard it immediately I left it and the following year it burst into life from a side shoot and now stands about a metre tall.
